At times it was tough. He was thousands of dollars in the hole, he had no job, and he desperately wished he was back in school. But Jordan Berkowitz plugged away, putting in the time and effort, and before long he was winning online poker tournaments for big cash prizes. Suddenly he went from having next to nothing to having Christmas every day.

Jordan, still living at home in Philadelphia in his mother’s house, is a Marple Township teenager that claims to have won a dozen tournaments for $50,000 or more. He says he likes to buy watches and cars, including an $85,000 BMW parked in the drive.

Jordan is taking a vacation away from poker, a break from what he says was, at times, a lot of hard work. He will be considering his future, and is considering starting a new learning effort, this time in the stock market.
