Bluff Mag Lists Top Twenty Poker Names
20th of December 2005
As to be expected in a list of poker names that deserve recognition, Bluff Magazine’s “The Poker Power 20” puts forward the legendary Doyle Brunson, the Poker Brat Phil Hellmuth, Chris Moneymaker and other poker players who’s winnings, accomplishments and stories are part of poker history. But in addition to top money earning players, the card player magazine includes the names of others who have contributed the most to poker’s over all success as an industry in 2005.
Making the list are Steve Lipscomb and Lyle Bermen, the co-founders of the World Poker Tour, the outfit many point to as being responsible for the surge of poker popularity. Poker rooms that have shown innovation and contributed mightily to the game, such as PokerStars, also made the list. Bluff Editor Michael Caselli said he wanted the list to cover all sides of the story in 2005, another influential year in poker.
