Poker Run For Charity
30th of August 2005
When do poker, motorcycles, leather and lace go together with children? When local New York bikers take part in a poker run for charity, as they did on August 27th in Central New York.
Leather and Lace Motorcycle Club, an all female group, put together the event, with part of the proceeds going towards Charity for Children.
It was a sunny day for the poker run, which had participants paying a registration fee to take part of the action. From Trappers Pizza in East Syracuse each rider got two cards, which they took along on a scenic ride. A stop at a second restaurant got the riders a third card apiece at the halfway point. After a u-turn the bikers rode back to Trappers where they each got two more cards. The best hand of five cards got the grand prize.
